It was exactly ten years since our doors opened and Pauline Walsh brought our very first residents; Claudia, Nela, Alina and Mihaela to start their new lives. Ten years since their lives changed forever and the start of the foundations amazing work throughout the community. Collaboration with a school from our local town

Many Thanks must be given to “Elena Domnei” School in Tecuci who organised a lovely surprise for our children as part of a project called “Don’t live just for yourselves”. Two teachers and 15 children came to our Day Centre to donate a number of reading books, clothes and school supplies. Some of their pieces were even sold! The children were given a diploma and a free book and an article appeared about their work in the local...

Aid Truck from Blackrock to Nicoresti

Last week saw the last aid truck of 2012. As always there was a fantastic amount of food, toys, wheelchairs, nappies, clothes etc which will be of great use to the foundation, to needy villagers and to local schools and hospitals. The highlight of the truck was a massive wood burner which we will use to heat the whole foundation, saving 1000′s of Euros every year. Many people put in a lot of work to make this happen and we are so grateful to them all, especially the 6 volunteers who spent last week getting it all up and running, and not...

September brought the opening of Mc Colins Prepatory School. A Joyous occasion with pupils and teachers preparing the classrooms. All school equipment, tables, chairs, blackboards etc, were donated by Schools in Co. Louth.
