February Day Centre Birthdays

As our Day Centre family has grown, it has become impossible to celebrate everyone's Birthday individually. Therefore we have decided to have a party every month to celebrate ALL the Birthday's for that month! Last week we celebrated the February Birthday's with a massive cake, singing, dancing and lots of fun!

Valentine’s Day 2016

Today we had our traditional Valentine's Party and took the opportunity to show how our residents have progressed under the love and care of our dedicated staff. We played different games that showed improvement in various skills such as colour matching, counting, dexterity and mobility, all in a fun environment and with calming music in

“Don’t Abandon school!”

We are five months in to our project to prevent school abandonment and we are really pleased with the progress we've made. We are working with 14 children who are currently in their final year at the village school. At the end of the school year they will take national exams in Romanian and Maths

Happy New Year 2016

Exhibition August 2015

Today some of our talented Day Centre children attended an exhibition of their work at the library in our nearest town, Tecuci. They all loved seeing their work on display and were all awarded with a certificate! Afterwards our lovely Irish volunteers, Laura, Meabh and Dervla treated the gang to ice-cream in the local park

Happy Valentine’s 2015!

Here at Casa Bridget, we use Valentine's Day as yet another excuse for a party and a celebration of our love for our residents! We had different races, competitions and games all modified depending on different capabilities, followed by music and dancing. We enjoyed eating sweets and home-made, heart-shaped cakes. It was a lovely day

We'd like to wish Liliana the very best of luck on her first day at school in IRELAND! Liliana  and her family have been supported by the foundation for a number of years and in a variety of ways. From 2007-2013 Liliana attended our Day Centre where she developed into a bright, kind and caring

Happy Halloween 2014

Yesterday we celebrated Halloween with a fantastic party for our residents; everybody dressed up, we danced and we ate delights such as "witches fingers" and "boiled mice"! Then we went outside to chat around the bonfire, light our pumpkins and set off Chinese lanterns! It was also Ionel's Birthday and he had a great time
